This May, Phillip is turning 50 and he wanted to do something special with his friends and family to celebrate the milestone. Phillip has always been very sporty and adventurous, so he decided to go skydiving with anyone else who felt brave enough! He also planned a gathering for afterwards at his home in the Cotswolds, complete with a delicious menu from Hog Roast Asthall. Phillip tried our catering at a wedding earlier this year and he knew that our catering would be perfect for his birthday celebration since you can never go wrong with a hog roast!
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Asthall team is planning on arriving at Phillip’s home in the morning and getting to work on preparing our menu. We will start by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for around five hours. Once ready, the succulent pork will be expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, with sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving homemade chips, halloumi and vegetable skewers, corn cobettes, and a fresh green leaf salad, which will be perfect for ensuring that there is plenty for every guest to enjoy.
