Climate change is a topic that is on everyone’s minds these days, as many focus on fighting to cure our ailing planet. And with Earth Day fast approaching, talks of going green, sustainability, and environmental issues have ramped up.
Here in the Cotswolds, activist James is planning to host an Earth Day event on the 22nd of April, which aims to raise awareness for the issues our planet is facing, while also promoting reasonable changes that anyone can make.
So far, he’s managed to get a few different speakers on board with the event and has planned various activities to keep things interesting and engaging, rather than doom and gloom, for the attendees.
James has also asked Hog Roast Brockworth’s catering team to come along and serve our Classic Hog Roast Menu at this event, which we’re absolutely thrilled about!
Valuing sustainability ourselves, Hog Roast Brockworth has taken a number of steps to make our business more planet-friendly over the years. Understanding that food waste contributes massively to climate change, with around one-third of all human-caused greenhouse gases linked to food, Hog Roast Brockworth makes sure that our food doesn’t get wasted.
In the instances where guests can’t eat all of the food we make, we package up the leftovers and donate them to nearby homeless shelters, which is something that our clients and customers are always really glad to hear.
