For Helen and John’s 50th wedding anniversary, the couple wanted to enjoy a special meal with their friends and family. The meal was going to be enjoyed at a local function room, which would be decorated on the day with golden accents to celebrate this golden achievement. For the catering, Hog Roast Burford was contacted by Helen in the hopes of booking a formal dining menu for the event. She looked through our menus and found a package that would be ideal, selecting the dishes that she liked the sound of the most. Our catering was going to be a great addition to this event and the Hog Roast Burford team was looking forward to getting involved!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Burford team arrived at the function room and set up our catering station in the kitchen. This menu began with our antipasti platters served to each table. This dish was perfect for introducing everyone to our catering and setting a formal tone for the evening.
For the main dish, we prepared roasted sirloin steaks, which were incredibly tender and succulent. The steaks were accompanied by a selection of trimmings, including seasonal vegetables, red wine gravy, and roasted baby potatoes. This dish was the star of our menu and definitely went down successfully with the guests.
To finish the meal, we served chocolate torte and individual cheesecakes, each served with English cream and fresh berries. This was an elegant and delicious way to end the meal and was accompanied by a toast for the happy couple.
