Wedding Feasts with Afternoon and Evening Guests at Mason’s

Hog Roast CotswoldsIf ever there was a perfect example of a feast, it was at our wedding event at Masons last week. Celebrating the beautiful new marriage of Sue and Andy, the Hog Roast Cotswolds team prepared a massive dining experience both for traditional wedding dinner, and again for evening guests with a cold buffet which was assured to have the partying going long into the night at Masons.

One look at this spread and you’d certainly agree it was a total feast. Our main dinner was our signature hog roast dining experience, which Hog Roast Cotswolds has become famed for both in weddings and with private and corporate events for the last three decades. It’s a favourite of so many of our customers, but it gets even better when you add a few extra dishes in too. In Sue and Andy’s case, the signature hog roast came with its typical accompaniments of homemade sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, fresh apple sauce, creamy red cabbage slaw, mixed leaves, tomato and mozzarella salad, and roasted new potatoes, but it was the addition marinated chicken thighs and grilled veg and halloumi skewers that really turned it into an all out feast. And that’s not to mention the desserts for after, too, with homemade individual cheesecakes and profiteroles available as a palette cleanser.

But the dining did not end there for the evening. Hog Roast Cotswolds had served a little over 100 guests for dinner. Sue and Andy, however, were due to have a load more evening guests arriving for the party celebrations. We knew that with all the dancing and revelry on show, we’d need something substantial for everyone celebrating the night away too, so before leaving our Hog Roast Cotswolds chefs also prepared a massive cold buffet to be served at 9pm. And when we say massive we mean it: fresh homemade sandwiches, Melton Mowbray pork pies, scotch eggs, vegetarian quiche, cocktail sausages, cheese sticks, sausage rolls, pizza slices, homemade coleslaw, and a selection of tortilla chips, artisanal breads, sauces, chutneys, and our antipasti platter boards with fine Italian meats and cheeses.

Like we said, a perfect feast that saw the party go long into the night!
