Hog Roast Nailsworth are always helping out with charity events, and we are often contacted to provide our catering at charity fundraisers and fairs. A local community centre reached out to our team earlier this summer to arrange catering for their annual summer fair, which was doubling as a fundraiser to provide local children with packed lunches throughout the summer holidays. The fair was set to include a variety of different fundraising methods, including party games, face painting, hair braids, sports, and crafts. For our catering, we had been hired to provide a menu for 230 guests to enjoy, in the form of a gourmet barbeque. This is a great menu for family-friendly events as it is full of delicious catering options.
On the day of the fair, the Hog Roast Nailsworth team arrived at the community centre and set up our station on the field. We began by preparing the main dishes, which included succulent pork sausages, veggie sausages, juicy British beef burgers, halloumi and vegetable skewers, BBQ spare ribs, and marinated chicken kebabs. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls, alongside crunchy coleslaw, corn cobettes, sweet potato fries, seasonal salad dishes, and homemade chips. Overall, the menu is varied and delicious, including plenty for every guest to enjoy. Our menu was a great addition to the event and went down a treat with the guests.
