With the end of the summer comes the end of the cricket season, so the Hog Roast Broxbourne team were delighted to join our local team at Broxbourne Sports Club for their end of season awards ceremony. After a successful season it was only right to get some good rest and fuelling in, courtesy of our signature catered roasts. Celebration and a much needed re-energiser after a hard fought cricket season, as well as some highlights from across the season – a perfect evening for all involved.
As with many local clubs, the work at Broxbourne largely comes down to community and volunteering. An awards ceremony like this was a great way to recognise each volunteer, coach, and player for their efforts through the season. It’s a team game, and that extends beyond just the players that take to the pitch as everyone behind the scenes that helps to keep Broxbourne Sports ticking over are just as worthy of award and recognition as the big players. For such an event so focused on community and celebration, the Hog Roast Broxbourne team were privileged to be involved.
We knew that after such efforts our dining also had to be up to the very best standard. After all, everyone deserved it. So, the first thought was to go with our signature hog roast. It’s always a winner no matter the event, and this, after all, was an event for winners. Just as the Broxbourne team played with style all season and made a spectacle of the game, so too does our hog roast. Cooked in the authentic spit style with our own-designed mobile roasting machine, it takes all of the MVP awards each and every time it comes out. It’s stylish, a spectacle, and also absolutely delicious. For awards night, our roast came served with sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, fresh apple sauce, a veggie alternative of grilled veg and halloumi skewers, tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, creamy red cabbage slaw, and roasted baby new potatoes.
