A local tennis club contacted Hog Roast Malmesbury earlier this month to discuss catering options for their upcoming open day. The day was set to include tennis matches played by members of the club, as well as tennis games for children to take part in and a chance to sign up for membership at a reduced cost. Alongside the sporting aspect of the day, the club also wanted to provide delicious catering to draw in new guests and to add appeal to the event. At Hog Roast Malmesbury, we have a variety of different buffet menus that are ideal for this occasion, and we were hired to serve a classic hog roast at the event.
On the day of the open day, the Hog Roast Malmesbury team arrived at the tennis club in the morning and got to work setting up our catering station. Once ready, we began by slow roasting the hog and ensuring that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. For meat-free guests, we also prepared BBQ pulled jackfruit. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls or a gluten-free alternative, alongside sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and homemade applesauce. To add variety to the buffet, we also served a selection of salad dishes and homemade chips. Our menu was served between 12:00pm and 3:00pm and we saw around 150 guests enjoying our delicious catering. The event was a success, and our catering was another great addition to the day!
