From our Hog Roast Northmoor family to yours, we hope you all had a wonderful summer bank holiday weekend. That is the close to the summer now which means for many of us it is back to the regular grind all the way until Christmas. One last weekend to really luxuriate in the summer season and celebrate was just the thing needed.
Here at Hog Roast Northmoor, we had a really lovely bank holiday weekend, as spent the day with George, Andy, and their family as George put together a really special 60th birthday celebration for dad Andy. This was a really special celebration put together by the family for their loving father Andy, who deserved only the best for his 60th celebration. Luckily for him, he got exactly that with Hog Roast Northmoor.
Our team did an excellent job putting together a spread worthy of the occasion. First we began with our antipasti platters, which look as good as they taste. The finest Italian meats and cheeses with artisanal breads and dipping oils, all neatly arranged in a beautiful presentation that pops off the serving table. All 50 guests were free to help themselves, and let us tell you, those wooden boards were just about picked clean in minutes.
Our hog roast main was equally adored amongst the party. As ever, we had our signature hog roast cooked in the authentic spit style and then hand pulled for serving with crispy crackling and sage and onion stuffing. That balance of tender with crisp works just perfectly, and guests were coming back in for more and more. They could also enjoy our veggie alternative of grilled veg and halloumi skewers with tzatziki dip and sweet chilli sauce, along with refreshing side accompaniments of gourmet coleslaw, seasonal leaves, tomato and mozzarella salad, and buttered new potatoes. Even after the many cleaned plates that came back our wat at the end of dinner, guests still made sure to make room again for our desserts – vacherins of strawberries with cream, and profiteroles.
Our thanks to George for choosing Hog Roast Northmoor, and to Andy and co for making it such a wonderful event to cater.
