The Cotswolds, touched by frost and still adorned with the hues of fallen leaves, is pure magic at this time of year. And when Christmas markets grace the villages, the charm of this quintessentially British region becomes irresistible. So, naturally, when news of a Christmas festival reached Hog Roast Moreton-in-marsh, we couldn’t resist becoming a part of the festive magic!
But for us, Christmas markets are more than just bustling bazaars; they are an opportunity for us to showcase our culinary prowess and connect with potential customers and clients. And determined to make a lasting impression, Hog Roast Moreton-in-marsh, led by our dedicated catering manager, Rufus, arrived on-site in the early hours of the morning, ready to weave our culinary magic.
It was all systems go as soon as our team unloaded the catering van. Using our state-of-the-art grilling equipment, Rufus tackled the responsibility of slow-roasting a full-size pig, which he had placed atop a bed of sage and onion stuffing. The result: a spectacle of golden-brown perfection with blackened spots in all the right places. The crackling was perfectly crisp, while the meat inside was moist and delicious.
The aromas of the hog roast drifted through the air, leading festival-goers straight to the Hog Roast Moreton-in-marsh stall. Rufus, with pride, presented our mouth-watering creation on gluten-free rolls with a dollop of applesauce. But it wasn’t just meat-enthusiasts who fell for our grub! We made sure everyone’s tastes were catered to by including BBQ-pulled jackfruit buns for our vegetarian and vegan friends, topped with crunchy ‘slaw for that extra kick of flavour.
All around us, the festival pulsated with vibrant energy, enveloping us in a lively atmosphere. Attendees explored market stalls adorned with handmade treasures, festive decorations, and cosy knitted ensembles. Fairground rides brought joy to the younger crowd, while tents offering craft gin and ale beckoned the adults. It transformed into a festive haven, uniting families, friends, and visitors in shared merriment.
For Hog Roast Moreton-in-marsh, participating in the Christmas festival proved to be an unmissable opportunity to immerse ourselves in the vibrant community spirit. The festive atmosphere, combined with the savoury delights from our stall, left a lasting impression on attendees and reinforced our commitment to bringing fabulous food to every occasion.
