The milestone birthdays are the ones where you want to really go out with the celebrations. Heading out to the pub or doing something small with family or mates on the regular birthdays is all fine and well, but when you hit the big ones – the 18ths, 21sts, the decade changes, the 50ths, of course – then the celebrations requires something just a little bigger.
This is where our catering at Hog Roast Faringdon so often becomes all important. We get a lot of birthday requests, but if you took a look at all of them in a row you would more than likely find that the majority of orders are for those milestone birthdays. We’ve done a good few more 30ths and 50ths than we have a 28 or 43.
And now with this past weekend we had one more to add to the milestone birthdays, as the Hog Roast Faringdon team headed out to Uffington Utd Rugby Club, where 50 lovely guests had gathered for Louis’ excellent 30th birthday celebrations. To mark it as a milestone birthday – as all milestone birthdays should – Louis ordered for a speciality hog roast dining experience.
It proved to be a nice night for cooking outdoors on the rugby pitches. Plenty of space for the Hog Roast Faringdon team to set up our hog roast and cook away through the evening. With the nights drawing in we got to enjoy that low autumnal sun giving the fields a lovely golden glazing – a perfect backdrop while guests queued up to come get their fresh hog roast rolls and keep the party going long into the night. Right through the evening, as guests came back for more rolls, more grilled veg and halloumi skewers and side salads, we only received wonderful compliments from each. Our food seemed to set a certain pleasant buzz about the place, which is exactly what you want from a 30th birthday celebration.
